Urban Thinkers Campus: Shaping Urban futures with Sustainable Housing, Mobility, and Green Infrastructure

UHPH-MENA, in collaboration with the German Jordanian University, Connective Cities MENA, Habitat for Humanity Jordan, Resilient Urban Planning and Development (RUPD) GbR, TU-Berlin, and Saint Joseph University of Beirut, co-organized this 3-day event that brought together over 100 experts from Jordan, MENA, and Europe.

Research project

Improving Resilience to Extreme Heat Vulnerabilities in Cairo

This study is a collaboration between Cardiff University, Cairo University, UDF, and UHPH-MENA. It will examine urban heat exposure in Cairo through satellite remote-sensing data and by delving into specific urban case-studies. Additionally, it will collect data on local heat-perceptions and socio-cultural practices related to living with heat.

The State of Adequate Housing in Egypt

This study, published by UHPH-MENA, explores the challenges faced by Egyptian residents in accessing safe and affordable housing. It delves into different housing issues, including affordability of housing on the formal market, public housing programs, informal housing, and housing for refugees. This flagship study provides in-depth data analysis of housing in Egypt.
